System Requirements

Data Access Subsystem Requirements

• Operates as a dynamically controlled, authorized formal subsystem
• Read-only access to VSAM (supports ESDS, KSDS and RRDS file organizations), IAM, QSAM, DB2 and IMS DB _ OS/390 Version 2.10 (567-A01) or z/OS Version 1 or later, and the PTFs associated with APARs PQ28404 and PQ26480  
• Communication server for OS/390 (5655A29) Version 1.2.0 or later  
• RACF, ACF2 or Top Secret security manager  
• TSO/E ISPF installed and operational

DB2 Optional Feature System Requirements

• DB2 Release 5 or later  
• Either Call Attach Facility (CAF) limited security model, or Recoverable  
• Resource Manager Services Attachment Facility (RRSAF)  
• Resource Recover Services (RRS/MVS) installed and operational

IMS DB Optional Feature System Requirements

• IMS Version 6 with SPE PQ15764 or IMS Version 7  
• IMS DB Open Database Access (ODBA)  
• Resource Recover Services (RRS/MVS) installed and operational

Data Access Client Requirements

• Supported Windows environments: Windows XP, Windows 2000  
• Professional or Server, Windows NT 4.0 Workstation or Server with service pack 3 or later, and Windows 98 and 98 SE  
• Microsoft Data Access Component (MDAC) Version 2.7 or later  
• Microsoft Office 2000 or XP  
• TCP/IP, dial-up networking, Token Ring or Ethernet

Data Access Server System Requirements

• Supported Windows environments: Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000 Professional or Server, Windows NT 4.0 Workstation or Server with service pack 3 or later, and Windows 98 or 98 SE  
• A shared or dedicated server  
• 128 MB RAM or more  
• .NET Runtime 1.1  
• Microsoft Data Access Component (MDAC) Version 2.7 or later  
• TCP/IP, dial up networking, Token Ring or Ethernet  
• SQL Server 7.0 or later (optional)
